The Competition Lead is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the Bootcamp and Hackathon programs for NASA Space Apps Cairo. The role covers everything from research and analysis of previous seasons to recruiting speakers, mentors, and judges, and managing the judging and evaluation process.
The Competition Lead manages the Competition Team and coordinates with all corresponding committees to ensure a smooth, fair, and high-quality competition experience for all participants.
- Gather feedback from previous Competition Leads, volunteers, mentors, judges, and participants to identify areas for improvement.
- Create a comprehensive action plan to facilitate coordination and workflow between all corresponding committees.
- Develop team members' skills and prepare them for future leadership positions.
- With the TEAM, Prepare an analysis report of previous winning projects, highlighting:
- Key success factors.
- Common strengths and weaknesses.
- Trends in winning solutions.

- Recruit mentors and judges for the hackathon.

Marketing Lead
The Marketing Lead is responsible for developing and executing the marketing strategy of the season. The role aims to maximize awareness, registrations, community engagement, partner visibility, and the overall impact of the event across Egypt while maintaining alignment with NASA Space Apps global standards and the local brand identity.
The Marketing Lead manages the Marketing Team, oversees all campaigns, and ensures consistent presence before, during, and after the event.
- Delegate responsibilities, mentor, and develop Marketing Team members throughout the season.
- Prepare team members for future leadership positions through continuous coaching and knowledge transfer.
- Conduct competitor analysis and monitor emerging marketing trends, tools, and industry best practices to improve marketing strategies

The Branding Lead manages the Branding Team, oversees all creative assets, and collaborates closely with Marketing, Media, and Materials teams to bring the event's vision to life.

The Multimedia Lead manages the Multimedia Team and oversees photography, videography, motion graphics, video production, and event coverage while ensuring content aligns with the organization's brand identity.

The PR & Partnerships Lead manages the PR & Partnerships Team and works closely with the Marketing, Branding, and Multimedia teams to make sure sponsors and partners get the visibility and recognition they were promised.

The Materials & Supplies Lead manages the Materials & Supplies Team and coordinates closely with Logistics, Branding, Competition, and People & Culture teams to cover all material needs across the event.

Website Lead
The Website Lead is responsible for leading the Website Team and overseeing the development and maintenance of all web platforms and dashboards for NASA Space Apps Cairo. The role covers both backend and frontend development, internal systems, and technical decision-making.
The ideal candidate should have strong backend experience, basic frontend knowledge, and the ability to lead both backend and frontend teams.
- Lead, support, and develop Website Team members (Backend & Frontend) throughout the season.
- Coordinate tasks and priorities between backend and frontend members.
- Support team members in solving technical challenges.
- Participate in technical planning and architecture decisions.
- Improve and maintain the existing website.
